About

Jonah Hitchens is a singer and guitarist from the South West of England. He is currently fronting Lack of Afro, one of the cornerstones of the UK funk & soul scene. Jonah recently performed with Lack of Afro in a live session for the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on BBC Radio 6Music.

Jonah presents his latest album, ‘The Snake Boys’.

The Snake Boys is your classic unadulterated blues album. Taking old school inspirations from Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King and The Meters, whilst also standing on the front line with modern blues artists such as John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.

Using a combination of studio and live recordings, the process of this album has been kept as raw as possible to maintain authenticity within the genre. Everything is recorded live, including the vocals. The rough nature of this process it what gives blues it’s undenied charm. You listen and you're in the room.

From the epic ‘The Snake Boys’, to the coolness of ‘Do I Still Have Time’ and through to the groove of ‘Beers, Boys and Blues’. This album is spilling with vibe and a whole heap of banter!
